“ XXII FESTA DEL RENAIXEMENT “
tortosa , renaixement , recreaciónhistórica
El esplendor de una ciudad en el siglo XVI.
Un año más en la ciudad de Tortosa (capital de la comarca del Bajo Ebro) se ha celebrado en la segunda quincena del mes de julio la que posiblemente sea su mejor fiesta que en estos últimos años ha pasado de ser de importancia exclusivamente local para convertirse en un atractivo de ámbito nacional, así lo reflejan el elevado número de visitantes, sus espectáculos llegados de diferentes países de Europa y su extenso mercado de época que llena de vida su monumental casco antiguo.

Fruto de esta larga trayectoria son sus reconocimientos como:
Fiesta de Interés Turístico Nacional.
Fiesta Local de Interés Turístico de Cataluña.
Placa de Honor del Turismo de Cataluña 2005.
Este año he querido centrarme con mis fotografías en lo que yo considero una parte muy importante y representativa dentro de la fiesta, el colectivo de voluntarios agrupados bajo el epígrafe de Las Familias Nobles, familias dominantes en la Tortosa del siglo XVI que destacan por sus suntuosas indumentarias propias de la nobleza de la época y que recorren las calles con toda solemnidad participando en diferentes actos en los edificios más emblemáticos de la ciudad, actos propios organizados por el Ayuntamiento.
Es tanta la involucración de estos voluntarios con la recreación histórica que la mayor parte de ellos dispone de varios vestidos de época que lucen en el transcurso de los cuatro días que dura la fiesta.
He querido retomar una serie que empecé en el año 2009 con una serie de retratos de varios personajes de dichas familias nobles y que no había publicado.
